An impassioned and emotional moment was captured at one of the George Floyd protests here in Beaumont. This was a particularly hot afternoon, brutally humid as well, and this young protester was overcome with grief. I caught him as he cried out to the sky above, hoping GOD would hear his plea for justice. In fact, I was quite happy to have caught the reflection of the clouds in his glasses. I was over by his lament. I named this piece, Cry Freedom – Eyes to the Sky.
