Home Of The Bubba Burger
When trekking across northeastern Harrison County, an ‘off the beaten path’ dining experience can be found at Fugler’s Grocery Market and Deli. Don’t let the outside appearance distract you. The full parking lot is an indication that something special awaits you inside. This is the place that locals and savvy travelers frequent. Don’t arrive at the peak lunch time or you will be waiting for a table. The home of the famous ‘Bubba Burger’ produces a 12 ounce behemoth of fresh daily ground beef loaded with all the fixings. The burger is named after the owner John “Bubba” Fugler. His son Trey now runs the grill and has not missed a beat when it comes to carrying on the family tradition. This burger has been rated as one of the best in the state of Texas and has been featured on many TV food shows. For a juicy burger at a fair price, Fugler’s can’t be beat. The atmosphere is a combination of grocery store and grandpa’s garage. The lunch experience will be worthy of a travel story or two when you get back home. Vegetarians and health conscious diners will do better to drive on to the next dinning establishment.
