When trekking through Smith County and looking for something more than a chain restaurant, try JT2 Gourmet Burgers & Ranch Market in Lindale, Texas. It’s a local family owned restaurant that is the extension of the J&J Ranch. Owner Jayson Taylor controls the supply chain of beef, so you are getting true “Farm to Table” quality and freshness. All of the beef is pasture raised on the J&J Ranch and boasts no added hormones, steroids, antibiotics or preservatives. The beef is dry aged 12 to 14 days and processed right up the road in Mineola, Texas.
JT2 offers a wide variety of handcrafted burgers including the Avocado Burger, Fire Cracker Burger and Texas Big Bacon Burger, to name a few. You can select your burger from the menu board and customize it your way with all of the fixing’s. JT2 tries to source as much of their ingredients from local suppliers. They are known for their burgers, but they have other options like a BLT, Chicken Fried Steak, Grilled Chicken or Salads. The restaurant also runs daily specials and has a variety of steaks during the dinner hours.
The Restaurant Manager Wesley and his staff are super friendly and aim to please. Slab cut Pecan tables, rough cut Oak beams and stonework give the dining area a rustic down home atmosphere. If you enjoyed your burger, you can also buy packaged ground beef and a variety of steaks at the Ranch Market located right inside the restaurant. J&J Ranch also sells beef at regional Farmer’s Markets and on-line on their website: www.JT2Beef.com
