Located at Gilmer Municipal Airport, all planes have moved to the Mid-America Flight Museum in Mount Pleasant. Flight of the Phoenix Aviation Museum is focusing on collections and archives as well as focusing on planning for their air shows and displays. Special effort is made to recognize community leaders who have contributed to Gilmer’s heritage through aviation. FOTPAM Museum’s Steve and Linda Kay hope the aviation museum will provide area school children with a learning laboratory for aviation education.
