The Fire Museum of Texas opened in 1984 in the historic Central Fire Headquarters Station located at 400 Walnut Street in downtown Beaumont. The Fire Museum is home to an extensive collection of fire engines and firefighting equipment dating back to 1856. Discover the history of the fire service and the advances in fire fighting as you move through the exhibits. Visitors are encourgaged to view and add to our extensive collection of fire department badges and patches. The Museum offers children the opportunity to dress in fire gear and experience what it is like behind the wheel of a fire truck on an American LaFrance simulator.
